Marisa Johnson is a professional tennis coach who has gained both the mental and physical stamina that comes with over 14 years of competitive play. With a deep passion, obsession really, with the game of tennis, she strives to share, inspire, motivate and teach students the same love and mastery of the game.
Marisa incorporates as much drive and commitment into her own healthy, active lifestyle as she does in her tennis coaching sessions. She understands that better performance in form, style and a winning mindset comes not only from a love of the game, but from mental and physical discipline.
When she’s not on the court, you’ll probably find Marisa practicing and perfecting her yoga skills. She likes to incorporate the meditative elements of yoga into her coaching. Her students truly benefit from the insight, poses and stretches she shares in achieving greater strength, flexibility and stress relief before and after sessions.
Marisa grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina. After a move to Laie, Hawaii, she studied at BYU-Hawaii where she graduated with a degree in Business and Marketing. As her devotion for tennis grew, she went on to become USPTA certified.
Marisa teaches tennis full-time and works daily on mastering additional yoga techniques. She lives with her husband in Mesa, Arizona and enjoys traveling the world.
